4-H Club Health Officers
The 4-H Club Health Officer program encourages each 4-H club in every county to incorporate health, fitness, and safety activities into their monthly meetings. Through this program, clubs will make the fourth “H”, health, an important part of their club’s activities. Support for the initial year is through The Youth Voice: Youth Choice program which is funded by National 4-H Council and the Walmart Foundation. [more info...]

Are you up to the challenge? It is time for Walk NJ Point-to-Point. 4-H members and their families are challenged to virtually walk the 214 miles from High Point to Cape May Point in an 8 week period between now and ending before September 11. Food and Fitness Ambassador Training

Since 2005 county 4-H Food & Fitness Ambassadors have promoted healthy eating and encouraged people to engage in physical activities through displays at county fairs, family fun events and other community gatherings. These things will continue, but the major focus in 2009-10, thanks to a major grant from Wal-Mart will be to encourage each 4-H club in every county to incorporate health, fitness and safety activities into their monthly meetings. NJ State 4-H Double Dutch Contest

Each spring, 4-H members take jumping rope to a new level exhibiting phenomenal artistic and acrobatic skills at the Double Dutch Contest. Double Dutch is a skip rope activity in which two ropes are turned in an eggbeater fashion by two rope turners, while one or two people rhythmically jump between the simultaneously twirling ropes.
