State 4-H Livestock Advisory Group

The State 4-H Animal Project Advisory Council gives guidance to the overall 4-H animal program. The New Jersey 4-H Animal Program supports the mission of the New Jersey 4-H Youth Development Program through educational, hands-on experiences that provide youth the opportunity to acquire the knowledge and skills to properly care for and market quality livestock.

Accomplishments of the group have included:
  • producing a 4-H Animal Project Volunteer Directory
  • providing overall coordination of the State 4-H Animal Shows
  • working with the State Department of Agriculture to design the format for the first Equine & Livestock Symposium in 2001
  • conducting a Critter Bowl in 2001
